ABOUT

Raised in South Carolina, Christie is a graduate of the University of South Carolina and has worked over 35 years in various aspects of marketing, communications, broadcasting, and acting.

She commenced her career on Madison Avenue working in account management at global ad agencies BBDO and SSC&B-Lintas/Interpublic.  During this time, she also studied professional acting at Neighborhood Playhouse Theatre School and HB Studio.

After ten years in NY, Christie returned to the Carolinas where she’s worked in Columbia, Charlotte, Wilmington and Boone. Her former employers and clients include Trane Commercial Air Conditioning, Syneractive Internet Development, S.C. Tobacco-Free Collaborative, and Columbia City Ballet, as well as broadcasting companies: SCETV, WVOC radio, Aisling Radio Group (now owned by Curtis Media Group), and the super-fun, but now defunct MTN TV.

Throughout adulthood, Christie has worked as a commercial actor and voice over artist. She is currently represented by Millie Lewis Agency and her work includes projects for Duke Energy, MedSims/WebMD, Zimmer BioMet, Samsung, BiLo, Bojangles, Blimpie Subs, and Denny’s.

Christie is a member of the American Association of Media Photographers, the S.C. Film Alliance, the Leadership Columbia class of 1992, Conservation Voters of South Carolina, Columbia Drama Club, and of Trinity Cathedral. She is a host of Columbia’s annual I Believe Anita Hill celebration, has served as an advisor for Girls, Inc., on the Board of Directors for Horn in the West, and has volunteered with several American Red Cross hurricane recovery efforts.

Christie’s various pursuits have formed the foundations that guide her life: endeavoring to see clearly, think logically, feel compassionately, and communicate effectively. As a corporate trainer, she’s inspired by the opportunity to guide others to the insight, mastery and confidence that drive personal empowerment and success.
